2 new Anne books...

Anne's House of Dreams (Anne of Green Gables, #5)Anne of Ingleside (Anne of Green Gables, #6)
My daughters had dental appointments today, and since we found ourselves just down the road from the bookstore, I decided to stop in to see if I could pick up books #5,6,and 7 in the Anne of Green Gables series. I am enjoying Anne of Windy Poplars so much, I know I will want to continue on once I finish it. I did find Anne's House of Dreams and Anne of Ingleside, but no luck on Rainbow Valley. I paid approximately a total of $5 for the two books. Also, I also decided that I think I would very much enjoy reading the Star Wars series Legacy of the Force. I was tempted to purchase the first two in the series, but I put them back. Maybe in the future, but for now I will try and finish up these Anne books...

  1. Yay! I think I remember really enjoying Anne's House of Dreams and Anne of Ingleside:) Rainbow Valley is adorable! It's basically a chronicle of her children;)

    1. Hmmm. That is good to know. I am not 100% sure I would enjoy Rainbow Valley as much. I mainly just like the Windy Poplars because Anne is actually an adult. Not sure I would enjoy going back to a coming of age section within this series. Interestingly....I discovered that Montgomery hated writing Anne books outside of the first one. It did well and her publisher basically pushed her to keep writing Anne novels. She didn't want to. Who knew? And even more surprisingly, After she wrote them (which consisted only of novels 123,5,78), she went on to write lots of other books, and came back years later to write Anne of Windy Poplars and Anne of Ingleside...which were then added into the series. I wonder if that has anything to do with why I am so disinterested in the books, but am really enjoying Anne of Windy Poplars?
