turn the page

Today at the library
Under the cover of a book
Racing through the pages
Nestled in a nook

There sat a lovely fairy
Her hair so long and brown
Elegant flowers worn as a crown

Pansies graced her body
As their smell soothed my nose
Gossamer wings fluttered
Entering my world as she rose

  1. Thanks. I am in love with books and it was pretty easy for my mind to meander to fairies while looking back over my day at the library. :)

  2. Oh how beautiful - I could see that fairy.
    Dropping by from Poetry Pantry.

  3. All the adventures books can hold! Very nice acrostic!

  4. Books instantly transport us to their magical worlds. I have experienced that. It is one of the joys of reading, of utterly forgetting your reality and entering a whole new world.

    Well penned. :)

  5. Certainly shows there are wondrous things which can happen at the library. A delightful acrostic.

Always nice to see you in the Pantry.

  6. Simply amazing, I really liked this.

  7. This is fabulous I love that your acrostic spells out Turn the Page and transports you to the joy of books

  8. Good books take us on all kinds of magical journeys, love this!

  9. Lovely, the poem AND spending a day at the library with your daughters.

  10. Acrostic and aromatic as well. I like your tale-telling story-book style here.

  11. Thank you for all your lovely comments!

  12. It is indeed grand that while amongst so many austere pages the mind may still take flights of Fancy!
